The power of education

Kathleen McArthur believed strongly in the power of education to change community attitudes. She worked with people of all ages––talking, guiding and organising competitions with the young, as well as writing newspaper articles, books and presenting her unique Lunch Hour Theatre.

A primary aim of WPSQ, the conservation group she helped found, was teaching people about flora and fauna and their habitats. With the Caloundra Branch Kathleen took a strong lead in this education.
